Camouflage is one of those trends that never really goes out of style. At times, the print is popular for a season or two, then it fades to black, only to reemerge in the coming months, never fully leaving us for good. The great thing about camouflage is – besides it being a fashionable way to celebrate Veteran’s Day – when done correctly, you can wear it all year long in a number of different ways, during any season.

Even if you are one of those people who’s not really into fads once the rest of the world has jumped on the bandwagon, you can still rock camo print because there are so many different variations of the pattern and ways for you to pull off the look (Check out Versace’s Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear runway show for examples of this).Sometimes camouflage print can be that added bit of color needed to take your monochromatic look to the next level. If you’re wearing all black, gray, or hunter green, camouflage flats or a camo scarf will give your outfit that pop of color and edge that it may need. And if you really want to go the subtle route, try camouflage nails the next time you go to the nail salon.
While some choose subtle camo, others opt for a bolder way to express their love for the pattern. From camo coats and pantsuits, to variations of camo blazers and outerwear, if you’re comfortable with the pattern you can really make a bold statement with a camouflage overcoat or camo pants.
A camouflage jacket is also perfect for those times when you can’t figure out what to wear or don’t really feel like getting dressed. Throw on a pair of your favorite jeans with a T-Shirt, and add an oversized (or men’s) camo jacket for an on-trend look that requires minimal effort. As with all fashion, however you choose to put your spin on camo, have fun with it and do it with confidence.
Happy Veteran’s Day!
